About Me...

I am a proud English Language Learner educator based just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, currently in my 25th year of teaching in public education. Throughout my career, I have worked with students in grades K–12 as a high school English teacher, Title I reading specialist, English Language Learner teacher, PD presenter, and teacher mentor.

I currently serve English learners across grades K–12 and work nationally as a speaker, author, and professional learning provider, inspiring and supporting educators, administrators, and support staff in how to effectively teach, reach, connect, and communicate with EL students and their families. My work is rooted in real classroom experience and a deep commitment to equity, access, and culturally responsive instruction.

I am the author of Take Me Home and When Niagara Falls, a co-author of The Impact of Influence – Volume 3 and 100 No-Nonsense Things ALL School Leaders Should Stop Doing, a contributor to Culture First Classrooms, and a was recently a featured writer for PA Edge (formerly PASCD).
Through professional development, writing, and speaking engagements across the country, I strive to elevate instructional practices and advocate for English learners and the educators who serve them.
